The Netherlands Government is welcoming applications for its ‘Orange Knowledge Programme in The Netherlands.’

Brief description

As it is, ‘Orange Knowledge Programme in The Netherlands’ is an annual scholarship program by the Netherlands Government that gives Mid-career professionals from selected countries – see list below – financial support to enable them to pursue any selected accredited Master’s Degree from any Dutch University.

N.B: This scholarship award is limited and so will be awarded only to applicants based on merit and excellence in academics.

Course Starts: Between 2021 and 2022

Offered Annually?: Yes

Host Institution(s): Dutch Universities that offer OKP qualified programmes and or coursework

Duration of Award: Between two weeks to 12 months for Short Courses and 12 to 24 months for Master’s programme

Degree Type: Masters/Short Courses

Field of Study: Any selected Accredited short course/Master’s coursework offered at Dutch universities

Scholarship Inclusions/Worth

The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) covers the following costs:

° tuition fee

° visa

° cost of living

° travel expenses

° insurance and other expenses

P.s: An Orange Knowledge Programme does not cover all your expenses in a whole. It simply adds to what you already have as you are assumed to be receiving a monthly salary from your workplace.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship is awarded in three categories/rounds:

  • Round 1: 3 February-23 March 2021, specifically for courses starting between 26 July and 21 November 2021
  • Round 2: 12 May-29 June 2021, specifically for Short Courses starting between 22 November 2021 and 20 February 2022
  • Round 3: 1 September-12 October 2021, specifically for Short Courses starting on or after 21 February 2022 and ending before 31 August 2022
